The single room felt a bit spacious for its size, and the tatami floor with a shoe‑removal area was the most relaxing for a Japanese guest; having the sink in the tatami area instead of the bathroom was also a plus. From the window you could see Hikone Castle. I had no complaints about the hotel itself, just that it was a little far from the station (about a 10‑minute walk) and there were no shops around.

The building and its facilities look old, but that’s not a problem at all. The room stayed clean, had everything needed, and I was comfortable. The only downside was that the hot water took a bit longer to come on, which was a bit annoying.

The room was spacious and very good. The only thing I’d say is that the desk and bed were a little far apart; it would be better if they were closer.

The front‑desk staff had a pleasant vibe and that was great. I arrived a little earlier than planned and they handled me well, which I really appreciated. The washlet didn’t work, which was disappointing—maybe it was broken?
