“Gutes Hotel in verkehrsgünstiger Lage”
The location was perfect for exploring Mirdita and the abandoned Spac prisoner camp; the hotel sits right on a highway rest stop with access in both directions. The rest stop itself has a supermarket, petrol station and buffet restaurant, all open 24/7. The food is tasty, reasonably priced and thanks to the large kitchen it’s always available. The breakfast, however, felt very Albanian to me as a Western European: Byrek, fried eggs, sausage and a very strong goat cheese, with no variety at all. That seems typical for small hotels, but the staff really couldn’t speak English, which is a shame at a highway rest stop.
