The location, all the amenities we could need, and the beautiful views were perfect, but I couldn’t stay for a week and sit in the sunroom all day.

I felt like I’d stepped back in time when I arrived at the cottage, which was charming and had old‑school comforts like a floral bedspread, vintage cups and glasses, and a retro kitchen. The staff even set the table for us with a material napkin and had the faux electric fireplace on, added some light music, and turned the heating up for our arrival. The only downside was that a larger TV would have been nicer, though it wasn’t a deal‑breaker.

The space was comfortable and the heating worked well, but the bedding in the master room was awful and I could hear people moving upstairs as well as the TV.
