Romantik Hotel Zehntkeller

Very good.

“Perfect for a short stay in Iphofen and breakfasts are generous”

It was in a great spot and had some historical charm, but most of the interiors show almost nothing older than 50 years, which is a shame given the building’s age and heritage. The gardens and pergola were beautiful, perfect for wine tasting. Some of the statues around the place were oddly dated, especially the one of a favorite aunt at the front door.

“Sehr gut”

A very beautiful large suite with a separate bedroom. Very quiet, and parking in the courtyard.

“Gelungene Aufenthalt mit Hindernissen”

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and, except for a few minor issues, have always been very satisfied. The entire staff is extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating – especially the outstanding service in the dining room. Our room was very nice, spacious and well equipped, offering everything needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. What we found extremely unpleasant during our last visit were three large dogs in the dining room. The dogs shook themselves vigorously several times, scattering hair, dust and possibly other contaminants near the tables, which ruined the enjoyment of dinner for us. The same situation occurred at breakfast, particularly at the buffet where many dishes are displayed openly; the presence of dogs is especially problematic from a hygiene standpoint. In our view dogs should not be allowed in a dining room. We would strongly like the hotel to establish a clear rule on this matter in the interest of hygiene and consideration for other guests.
