I spent a week in Ahangama and chose Gartons Cape for my final night. The price matched other options, but this star‑class hotel truly felt worth the money. The staff were friendly and professional, the food amazing, and the location beautiful—a perfect way to finish my trip. Nothing to add.

I had an amazing stay at Gartons Cape! The food was delicious, the location peaceful and breathtaking, and the staff friendly. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy. Highly recommended. Everything was good.

Absolutely nothing except for location. This is the worst property I have stayed in . There were red ants all over the room . Although we booked the highest category suits , still the room was not at all clean . There was water leaking from the roof . We were travelling with 2 babies and the hotel was absolutely non supportive . They heavily charged for baby milk and food and denied giving anything after 10pm . They didn’t even gave us basic utensils and cutlery so that we can make ready to make food for babies after 9 pm . We paid soo much for a night and the hotel denied giving us basic services . Absolute shitty hotel . I would be glad if we get any amount of refund

This hotel is completely worthless. We paid 272 € for two nights, cancelled after one, and got a refund. I’m Sri Lankan and my girlfriend is German; we booked this place for a nice experience, but it ruined our mood. We were the only guests. That night, a staff member held a karaoke party, blasting Sinhala songs loudly with a microphone and a friend. No other workers were around to complain. The music was so loud we couldn’t sleep, even in our second‑floor room. When I asked him to stop, he did. The next day they refused to give us the buffet because we were the sole guests, offering us a la carte instead. The food was cold and the sausages dry. We asked twice for onions on our breakfast, but they didn’t add them. I can’t understand why the staff get paid. We requested water and it took 15 minutes to arrive, and we had to pay for it. My girlfriend accidentally left her Ralph Lauren cap on the pool bed; when we asked, the hotel said no worker found it, claiming they asked everyone. We showed video evidence and asked them to check CCTV. They suddenly claimed they found the cap in the breakfast area, implying a worker moved it there. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
