It was very convenient to the centre and Herculaneum. The place was very clean but a little basic. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They run a cafe on the ground floor where we had excellent breakfasts.

The location is strategic: a short walk from the dig sites and close to the circumvesuviana stop. There was insufficient bath linen for four guests, and the bed linen was incomplete and stained.

The spot is super handy for visiting the Herculaneum ruins and the train station is just a short walk away, plus we enjoyed the tiny café for breakfast. Having a fridge in the room was a smart touch, though a kettle or coffee maker would have been useful and a glass would have been nice too.

Nello tried to coordinate our check‑in via WhatsApp, but I couldn’t use it in Italy without Wi‑Fi, so he just waited nearby to meet us, which was a big help. Even though he didn’t speak English, we managed to communicate and ask questions when Wi‑Fi was back, and he answered in English. Breakfast was typical of the area; getting up a bit earlier gave us more options, but the food was delicious.
