“It was fine for an overnight stay but was in no way a $400 room.”

I liked the location because everything we wanted to do in Carmel was close and there was free parking, but the building felt old and dated and there was no air conditioning or ceiling fans.

“Ok stay for two nights, but not worth the money”

The place was close to shops, restaurants, and the beach, super quiet and clean, with a beautiful balcony view, yet the décor was so outdated that the bathroom was the worst I've seen—tiles were broken and loose, the water pressure was weak, and the shower faucet looked like it could snap off at any moment. The carpet was ancient and awful, stretching all the way to the double sinks and even into the corridor, and the price was super expensive.

The beds were comfortable and the location was good, but the property looked a bit run down and would benefit from some renovations.
