The staff and owner welcomed us warmly, making everything organized so we could enjoy the local vibe without stress. They provided hiking poles, an excellent breakfast with juice, banana donuts, eggs, and homemade cinnamon semolina, served early on our departure day. Check‑in was before the scheduled time because the room was ready. The pool was clean and pleasant after our hikes, and the place sits in the beautiful Paul valley, just across from a nice small restaurant and next to a grocery store. We booked the rental room and shower, which were comfortable, functional, and had AC. The small frog chorus helped us fall asleep to nature’s sounds.

Antonio greeted us warmly. The pool was clean and enjoyable after hikes, and the room was very well insulated, with no outside noise even on the ground floor near the pool. The AC turns off automatically after a few minutes and can’t be restarted unless you wash your hands and unplug/replug it. The room stays damp and smells humid, and the cleaning is only superficial—dust and ant colonies remain. The bathroom is outdated and poorly maintained.

The place has AC, a pool, and helpful staff. It’s fairly isolated in the mountains, so you need a taxi to get to the Paul valley.

The property is in Eito, about a 20‑30 minute walk from Pombas (Paul), but taxis or aluguer make it easy to reach. The location lets you soak up the local atmosphere and explore the Paul valley, though reaching main trailheads like Cova still requires passing through Ribeira Grande. A minimarket and a restaurant with a nice ambience sit next to the B&B. The room was basic yet spacious, with a private bathroom. The view looked out onto the shared courtyard, a green corner with tropical plants and a pool. Breakfast was good, featuring coconut fritters, couscous, bread, cheese, jam, eggs, fruit, and fresh juice. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

The pool was clean, and we really liked the lodging area—it’s secluded but has a restaurant and grocery shop right next door. The view is amazing, and the shower has good pressure and hot water.
