“Reasonably priced, easily accessible lodging is a comfortable value in Golden, Colorado”

Front desk staff greeted me with “Welcome back” at every entrance and said “Take care/enjoy yourselves” when we left; the elevators were always ready, the location fit our needs, and maintenance and custodial staff would look me in the eye, smile, and ask how I was doing even if they had just seen me moments before; room keys always worked, and the curbside appeal was appealing. However, there were no coffee additives in the room (cream or sugar), no microwave, light switches were hard to operate and seemed worn, the sliding glass shower door required reaching in and turning the handle, which sprayed cold water on my arm as an unwelcome shock and couldn’t be opened from the other side, the bathroom vent didn’t work, and the breakfast area didn’t have complimentary coffee until after breakfast ordering time was over.

“I would stay here again and bring some food for after the concerts”

The rooms were very comfortable and the location was close to the amphitheater. After the concert, the bar staff were supposed to be open until ten with light food available; I got back from the show around 9:15 and the girl was gone for almost a half hour, with several people waiting for her, and when she returned, only two people were served before she stopped serving. I had driven 400 miles that day for the concert and wanted a light snack before bed.

The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were nice, very clean, and comfortable. I was disappointed that the Bistro and Bar did not open until 5 pm.
