Balinese-style furnishings and 4-poster beds feature in all rooms, which also include flat-screen TVs, organic toiletries, and some with sea, mountain, or city views. The hotel offers a restaurant, bar, fitness centre, and bicycle hire, making it ideal for cyclists near Hallgrímskirkja Church and Harpa Concert Hall & Conference Centre.

Hotel Eyja is close to everything – we walked to all the main sights in the city. The staff were always polite and helpful. Breakfast was great, and the room was comfortable and spacious.

Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean with comfortable beds and good lighting, but the rooms are too small. The furniture layout is illogical for the cramped space, not utilitarian, and there’s no proper spot to store luggage away from traffic. It was the only room during a two‑week Iceland trip that didn’t have a coffee maker. The window is tiny, and both road and hallway noise are noticeable. Views are poor and the neighborhood’s aesthetics are lacking.

The rooms were spotless and very quiet, and we had free parking and could walk to all the sights we wanted. The only downside was that the rooms felt a bit cramped because of the many items inside.
