“The island's hidden gem! Wonderful all around.”

I finally got to stay on my favorite island in a proper hotel instead of a shaky cottage, and it felt like a hidden gem. The rooms were modest yet clean and modern, the facilities were comfortable, breakfast was generous and tasty, and the staff were the absolute best. It was also much cheaper than most places on the island nowadays. I can’t wait to come back soon! The only downside was that the beds were a bit too short for someone almost 2 m tall, and it could get noisy at night when the downstairs restaurant closes and the people leaving are a bit tipsy.

What made the stay great was the excellent food at the cozy bistro of De4dames. We ate there three times for dinner, once for lunch, and three times for breakfast, and every time it was a celebration. Breakfast was very extensive, fresh, and flavorful. Lunch, especially the fish soup, was fantastic! Dinner was always well presented, with a free bottle of cold water and a nice amuse before the main course. The drink menu offered many choices: wine (not our favorite), beer (yes!), whisky, and other spirits. The bistro was always lively, but we never had to wait long for food. Only on the last day did we have to wait for a table to free up, but we could pass the time with one of the available games. The service was very friendly and attentive. For us it was perfect. The room was simple but clean, and the shower was delightful. There was also an option to make coffee or tea in the room, but we didn’t use it.

“Een voor het doel prima hotel op een prima plek”

The breakfast buffet was well organized and the bread was nice! Nothing really stood out as a problem. The room was fine for two nights, but for a longer stay it would have been better to have more space and a comfortable chair.

The staff, beds, breakfast, dinner, and atmosphere were all great. The only issue was that the bathroom had a slight odor.
