Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room with waffles one day and pancakes another, plus unlimited coffee; my room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable.

I loved the décor and the bed was super comfy; breakfast each morning was delicious, but the rooms were a bit small if you spend a lot of time there.

We enjoyed the hotel’s historical story and the antiques inside; sitting on the front porch and chatting with other travelers while watching trains pass every few hours was a highlight, and the breakfasts were among the best we’ve had on the road. The hosts were friendly and conversational, and we appreciated the large refrigerator/freezer and ice machine in the common area. No complaints – we loved this place!
