Breakfast and balcony with the sun upon waking. Emergency exit light very strong, a bit uncomfortable to sleep.

All staff are friendly, the estate is gorgeous and the covered pool provides the perfect environment in full autumn. Breakfast very good, room very clean and balcony with a view of the estate and absolute quiet.

We particularly liked the beautiful and peaceful setting of Quinta da Fontinha, its splendid and perfectly maintained surroundings, as well as its spacious and comfortable rooms. The hearty and varied breakfast, not to mention the warm welcome from our hosts, made our stay even more pleasant. It’s a charming place. We highly recommend it. Suzanne France

From the friendliness of all the staff, to the comforts, to the surrounding nature… and everything super well kept, I cannot help but mention the Restaurant with a varied menu and excellent preparation. Congratulations. Definitely returning.

You clearly see that someone invested time and money into this hotel: it is a countryside hotel above a small restaurant with the same name. During renovation no expense has been spared in order to make it comfortable for the guest. The large garden consists of a covered swimming pool and several natural ponds and arched pathways. Throughout the garden there are several kiwi trees (you can try them at breakfast) and other fruit trees. The hotel has also a very large fenced off area where two dozens chicken and some rabbits are housed. The whole location is very quiet. Breakfast is great when you chose the local products- fruits, local sausages, omelets from eggs of the local chicken. We did not like the coffee machine, where the cappuccino had the taste of hot chocolate, or the yogurts, which seemed to have been stored in the fridge a little too long. The bread rolls and croissant were also not very fresh, which must be attributed to the location far away from every bakery. Nothing
