The view and the owner's kindness—who swapped our room because of sleeping issues and was always available—were great, and the boat transfer was convenient. But the breakfast basket lacked a knife for spreading jam on bread, wasn’t very good, and came with chips! We couldn’t have a proper breakfast on site because we had to leave at 6:45 am. The mattress was very hard, and the window let in a lot of daytime noise because it wasn’t airtight. Luckily, after we changed rooms, the window was airtight, though the beds were still hard and offered almost no support. It was a shame that the front of the hotel wasn’t tidy or clean on the island’s interior side. There was no water bottle in the room, which would have been a basic courtesy since the water isn’t potable. The bathroom fixtures were dirty.
