The location was fabulous, just needing a bit of TLC, so I’d rate it a 4* rather than higher. The spa we paid for could use a refresh.

I met a friendly team who handled every request without fuss, and the venue itself was stunningly located. The Holte Spa was a highlight—our mini‑moon turned into a truly special couple’s getaway thanks to their extra effort.

“Fantastic stay, weather not the best, but that’s Scotland!”

The place looked freshly painted and immaculate, with a great walking distance to town. It had plenty of cooking equipment for home‑cooked meals. The second bedroom felt a bit tight to move around, but that didn’t bother us since it was just the two of us.

“Lovely and perfect for a romantic weekend.”

The property was gorgeous, and the suite matched that beauty perfectly—comfortable, stylish, and breakfast delivered to the room promptly. On the downside, the hotel side had no issues, but the spa needed better usage management: the pool was overcrowded when we arrived, robes and towels were scattered, there were too few hangers, no signage about use, no bins for empty cups, and the staff’s attitude left something to be desired. Despite these quirks, the facility itself was lovely, and I’d return for a quieter slot.

“Great place, great food, wonderful staff, just needs a little refresh here and there.”

Great atmosphere, location and staff. Food was spot on with an excellent breakfast. The experience was great , but i think we felt a little let down by the "rough edges" in the hotel ,such as black the sealant in the bathroom and things like that
