“Very disappointed, tired and run down, unclean, broken fixtures.”

The garden and view were nice, and the size was adequate. However, the decor was tired and neglected with broken curtains, a broken tap, and a broken door to the outside. The double mattress was unusable, so we had to lash two singles together, which was not good. The bedrooms and sofa were unclean, the cigarette tray outside was full, and there was a leak on the floor of some dark liquid. The hot water was cold multiple times, so we couldn’t shower when needed. We raised all of this immediately with the owner, sent pictures and videos, but received no response. We even asked for a refund and still have not heard back after a month.

“Lovely stay but cleaner needs a talking to”

The open plan layout and the natural light were lovely, and the bed felt very comfortable. The views were beautiful and the space felt very private. However, there was a lot of debris on the side of the sofa, the toilet base hadn’t been cleaned and still had old urine, and a sewage smell was coming from the twin room toilet.

The large windows let in an abundance of natural light, making the place look gorgeous. The area was very private and the heating/fire kept it warm and pleasant. It was a lovely, romantic getaway and I’ll definitely book again! The only downside was that the master bed was noticeably squeaky, though it didn’t keep us up.

“Lovely location”

We were happy when we arrived, thanks to the great location and the barn’s layout. The size was perfect for our family and the view was lovely. Unfortunately, the door never locked, so I had to send a video on the first night of our two‑night stay. A handyman was dispatched 24 hours later, but the door couldn’t be fixed right away, so we slept in our children’s rooms for security on both nights. On the first morning we had no heating or hot water, so the kids couldn’t bathe and I took a cold shower. We spent the day out with family as planned, and the issue was resolved by the time we returned that evening. The double bed was extremely creaky.

“Beautiful location but needs TLC”

The location was beautiful and the barn itself was attractive. The sliding door didn’t open or lock properly, and the property felt cold when we entered. The owner had to start the boiler in the out‑house, but the management company hadn’t informed him of our arrival. The twin‑bedroom smelled of sewage, and overall the place needed TLC. There was no hot water on the second morning for a shower, and there were broken glass and broker pots outside.
