“It was just ok.”
The location was convenient for our destination. The room, however, had a strong odor that made it feel like a dead rodent had been there; we didn’t find one, but the smell lingered the whole time.

There was no light in the parking lot, so the path to Perkins was dark.

The location was fine—a place to sleep after a concert if you’re from out of town, and nothing more. The staff used an air freshener to mask a bad smell, which didn’t help. It definitely didn’t feel like a Staybridge hotel. Fruit flies swarmed the room and I couldn’t tell where they came from. The hot tub wasn’t working. The foreign staff were not very friendly, and the pressure from flushing the toilet felt like it might blow the tank lid off. I wasn’t impressed and I’ve since avoided showering at hotels like this. The building was outdated, and breakfast was barely edible. The staff were too lazy to refill the waffle/pancake mix, so it stayed out of order.

The place was right next to the mystic lake amphitheater, but it was in a sorry state; the room had a chemical smell, the toilet paper holder was broken and hanging off the wall, and the front desk guy knew it was broken yet still assigned us that room. The location felt sketchy, and the parking lot was a disaster with old chipped paint—so bad that even the homeless avoided it. Skip this one.

I had a bed that was “sleepish”; it wasn’t really comfortable. Water gushed from the shower, the toilet kept running, and mold was everywhere in the shower and the room, which stayed damp even with the AC on. The hotel’s hot tub had been inactive for a long time, the pool area offered very minimal seating, and I had to go to the desk for a towel. The carpet in the room was ripped, and the door was broken and patched at one point. Not a pleasant stay.
