The location is gorgeous, but if you’re traveling from Ždiar in winter, pack snow chains. We struggled hauling the car down the hill to the accommodation, but the uphill drive was fine (using older winter tires). Alternatively, you can detour through Spišské Hanusovce.

The spot has a nice, quiet village vibe and feels very intimate, though a bit off the beaten path. The owner knocked on our door at eight in the morning while we were still sleeping to collect the room fee, and later complained to the booking platform that we hadn’t arrived even though we had a reservation.
