This pet‑friendly B&B let us bring two medium‑sized Taiwanese dogs for just an extra 400 NTD a night, which was incredibly reasonable; the owner, Yuan‑Yuan, kept suggesting things to do and even handed us a big bag of bread before we left, making us feel as cozy as staying with family. If you’re traveling with pets, bring some treats and stop by to say hi to June and Hei‑Pi, the two Taiwanese dogs the host keeps.

This guesthouse felt like home, thanks to the warm hospitality of the owner, Garden. Although they didn't provide breakfast, they made up for it by offering us a variety of bread and freshly brewed coffee. We're not big fans of sweet treats, but Garden went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even steaming some delicious baozi and frying up some tasty scallion pancakes for us. It was a lovely touch, and we appreciated the effort they put into making us feel at home.
