“Budget friendly basic room in Syracuse not too far from Ortigia Island”
The location is just a 15‑minute walk to Ortigia and the historic centre, yet the room could have been a touch cleaner.
“Normal”
The room was spacious and tidy, but there was one shared bathroom for five rooms, and during my week‑long stay nobody cleaned it. They gave an electric kettle and tea bags but no cups, the coffee machine was broken, and to find the Wi‑Fi password you had to climb onto a chair to grab the modem hanging from the ceiling because the staff didn’t know it. Communication with the host was poor.
