A very nice accommodation with a great view of the sea. The room has enough space for two large suitcases and comfortable beds. There is good dinner, and the breakfast is also very generous depending on what you choose. Even though the pub of the inn is right next to the rooms, I don’t think you notice it, even when the World Cup was being broadcast. We felt very comfortable here, also because of the friendly hosts.

It was great that they had dinner options in the evening, the location is nice, and you can easily get there with a rental bike from the ferry.

Everything at The Taversoe has been completely renovated by Josh and his wife, who are wonderful, friendly hosts fully integrated into the Rousay community. All rooms boast fantastic sea views of Orkney, are comfortable, spotless, and offer sights of rainbows and wildlife. The menu is amazing, featuring locally sourced produce cooked with professional pride by Josh and his lovely wife. The bar stocks local beers and a superb range of Highland spirits. Plenty of parking is available, and the hotel is about a 7‑minute drive from the Rousay ferry terminal. There are great local walks and Brochs nearby, and the place is dog friendly, which is a plus. My partner and I would recommend staying here. Thank you, Josh and your wonderful wife 😁👍. Nothing else to report.

The location is amazing and scenic, and Josh and Tania were excellent hosts and chefs. The gravel parking lot looked a bit tired.
