Everyday the food was prepared on time and very tasty. Tea bags were not available and the coffee packets were expired.

Equator Retreat Hotel is in a fantastic location just a 2 minute walk to the shore where you can catch stunning sunrises every morning. The room was decent, with a nice firm mattress that made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, a simple and relaxing stay in a beautiful spot. The staff didn’t speak much English, but they were always friendly and tried their best to help. Breakfast could definitely use more variety, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions being dairy-free was a bit tricky. One odd thing was the common area right outside the room, but luckily the place wasn’t busy, so it stayed quiet and peaceful the whole time

Strong storms hit the area a few weeks before I got here, and a few rooms had water damage, so the hotel couldn't accommodate me. They shuffled everything around, moved me to another room that suited me, and even invited me to dinner one night to make up for the inconvenience. The staff were very kind, and I hope I can stay there again when I return to Fuvahmulah.

I was let down because I didn't receive the rooms I had booked, but the host compensated with a discount. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
