A huge room with a well-equipped kitchenette and a large bathroom. We had a great balcony (which I think every room has) overlooking the adjacent wildlife park – at least we could see cute wallabies hopping through the garden while having breakfast or sitting outside. Rainbow lorises were seen in the tree above us. Breakfast was fantastic, and we really liked that it was served privately to each room – you could eat on the balcony or in a seating area inside the room. We slept well. Those who wanted to cook could use a large communal kitchen. We ate out instead. A good option for that is the nearby Backpacker Hotel Bounce, where there's always something happening and the seating is nice. Once we went to the Granite restaurant in Nelly Bay – excellent pizza! We could also do laundry; detergent was provided by the super friendly host. We would book here again! The only small improvement would be a King Size bed, since the room is already very large.
