The host was very friendly, though a bit quirky with the reception in the bar and birds chirping in the background; he personally fried bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast that had been ordered the night before by ticking a form, so there was no buffet.

The hotel sits beautifully on a slope with a fantastic view over the Elbe, and the rooms are well equipped, featuring large balconies or terraces some of which are covered. The owner and staff are very friendly.

Apart from the exceptionally friendly staff, the stunning landscaping on the terraces and even inside the building is truly worth mentioning, and the view of the Elbe is also lovely.

We chose this hotel because it overlooks the city. Arriving with bikes means a big climb, but the owner welcomed us warmly and did everything to keep us comfortable. For dinner, the To Gao Asian restaurant is the only place still open after 8:15 pm. Finding the room is hard because there are no signs to guide you through the corridors. The breakfast is good, but it isn’t a buffet and could use more fruit options.
