A very pretty inn near the center of Barra de Lagoa and the canal, comfortable and clean.

Dilma is an excellent host! She recommended places on the island and we chatted a lot; super warm and friendly, I’ll definitely come back.

The room was spacious with comfortable beds, and the host was very helpful when we asked for towels and a hair dryer—thanks! The smell was off because they used cleaning products that had an unpleasant scent; the pots were very old and food stuck to them, and the glasses were too small.

I was close to markets, a bakery, a health post, a bus stop, and a gas station, all in a quiet, safe, and clean area. Dione was very helpful, charismatic, and gave me plenty of useful tips. The only downside I noticed was the beach, which is about a 10‑minute walk away.
