The location was fine, but this was one of the worst hotels of our Asian trip. The tiny bathroom smelled so strongly of damp/mold that it woke me up at night, the A/C had a bad odor and made an infernal noise, there was no sound insulation so I could hear everything on the street, the water system was a manual cistern with no hot shower, the room was never cleaned, ants appeared, and my advice is to prioritize comfort over location.

It’s close to the town centre, but the space is too small; it’s only affordable for those on a tight budget.

The owners were friendly, and they even run a tour and transport agency that helped me find local services. The place was a bit noisy and the room felt like a shoebox—though that was expected—but I slept very well, especially if I chose a room with air conditioning.
