The location was fantastic.

The setting and surroundings were nice, the restaurant served lovely food, the staff were friendly, and the value was convincing after a busy day; booking in advance was required. However, the lodge itself was shabby and in need of an update, room 75 was clean but the bathroom was very dirty, the hot tub was nice but its lid was shabby and torn, and the outside area was dirty.

Everything we needed was there and delivered, with all the family essentials for North Wales and its fabulous landscape. Nothing was off—except that it was too peaceful, too beautiful, and had too many nearby attractions to visit.

The new design is nice and well thought out with all the basic facilities, but the bed mattress was very uncomfortable.
