We loved the spot and the super helpful service from the lodge manager Suellen and staff member Rafaela. Being close to the main beaches and Alter do Chão’s city center was crucial for us, and Suellen’s transfer made getting from Santarém Airport to Alter do Chão a breeze. Nothing to complain about – we felt very welcome.

Cintia’s friendliness was a highlight.

The spot is convenient and the bathroom is roomy, but the place feels more like an Airbnb – there’s no front desk or lounge. Breakfast was pretty basic; day one was just tapioca with butter, papaya and coffee. When I asked the owner for more variety, she added eggs and another fruit for the rest of my stay.

The inn sits in a prime spot and offers solid value. Sue Ellen and her sister were super friendly and even helped us sort out a currency‑exchange issue when we asked. Breakfast was a decent spread, and the room had AC, which was a lifesaver in the scorching heat of Alter do Chão.

Sue Ellen was really kind, and the room, while basic, was comfortable and in a perfect location. The only thing missing was a little side table to put things on.
