The staff were very good and treated us like a Disney Resort; I’m grateful for that. I had requested a riverside room, but despite sending several emails to the ryokan, they never read them, so I ended up with a town-side room, which was a little disappointing because I wanted to show my son’s family the spectacular view of the Red Bridge.

I’m from Iwase in Toyama City and have used this place several times with friends; the service, meals, baths, and rooms were all very good, so I brought a friend from Tokyo this time. As a busy nurse, I could really relax and rest my body, and I’d love to go back to Yama no Hara if another chance comes up—thanks a lot 😊

The staff were kind, and while riding the trolly train, they let us leave our car. The food was also varied and tasty 😊. The dining venue was a bit far.

I requested a four‑bed room, but two were standard beds and two were converted futons; it was okay, though I expected four standard beds. The location next to the Gorge Train was an unexpected surprise. I thought it was next to the dam, so I had to change my travel plans at the last minute to get there on time.
