“Bon séjour dépaysant”
Quiet, historic building, countryside location. Lack of explanation on the first evening upon arrival.

I was drawn in by the quirky vibe of the place, a real departure from the usual setups I’ve seen. The fresh pastries and cereal were a hit, and the owners were super welcoming, making the booking process a breeze.

The historic property felt truly unique, set in a stunning location with furnishings that matched the building’s character. I slept comfortably, the bathroom was immaculate with a great shower, and breakfast featured lovely fresh croissants and juice; the kettle in the room let me brew my own coffee. The independent entrance was handy, though a quick guide on using the cooker would have been nice; it wasn’t a deal‑breaker, especially since I only stayed one night and had plenty of bread, cheese, and salad on a hot evening.

The Tudor house’s history was a highlight, but the bathroom sink was too small and the kettle should have been in the kitchen.

We enjoyed sharing this very historic house with the hospitable owners for a few days, and its peaceful location was exactly what we needed. Leaving proved stressful because we couldn’t locate the owners to settle our bill immediately.
