“Goed hotel als je op doorreis bent.”
The place is right next to a big supermarket and a restaurant, easy to reach by car, and the staff were genuinely willing to go the extra mile to help. The only downside was that there was just one accessible outlet in the bathroom, and the door code often didn’t work, which the staff fixed each time but still felt annoying.
“As expected.”
It’s a budget hotel, but the location and parking are great, and the supermarket restaurant within walking distance is good. The man who checked me in was friendly and helpful—thanks to Google Translate. The bed was noisy and there was a bunk bed over the double, so it wasn’t that comfortable.
The bathroom wasn’t clean.
“Not pleasant.”
It’s close to the main highway, but talking to the staff was tough because they seemed to only speak French, which is odd for a chain. The front door stayed locked most of the time and no one was at the desk—one had to use the intercom. When my key‑code failed to open the outside door, I feared getting locked out and the employee didn’t try to fix it. The bathroom was dated, the sink needed replacement, at least one vending machine was empty, the coffee machine only took coins (I had none), and the breakfast crew wouldn’t or couldn’t sell me coffee from the breakfast room.
Free parking was a plus.
