We loved staying at Royal Tusker Hotel. The rooms were clean with great A/C. It was close to the park and we could arrange safari tours for us. The staff were very friendly. A bonus was the pool to cool off after a safari.

The location was perfect for a safari, close to the park entrance. The pool was nice for relaxing after the trip. The beds were good. Unfortunately we were the only guests, so it felt a bit empty in such a large building. Also, probably because of that, only water was available, no other drinks. They did prepare a dinner for us, and the breakfast after the safari was tasty.

The hotel is beautifully designed with wonderful staff, and it’s very close to Udawalawe National Park. We really wish we could have stayed more than one night! The team was incredibly accommodating, arranging a takeaway breakfast and letting us check out late after the safari. An easy 10/10!

The spot was great, right next to the safari park entrance, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room did have a few bugs—a lizard and a toad—which is expected given the jungle location.

The rooms were comfortable, though not clean enough, and the pool was nice. The staff were very good. However, the room and surrounding area lacked cleanliness, there was no tea-making facility in the room, no kitchen, and no dining options; I was told this was off‑season even though we booked earlier.
