It was perfect for what I needed. Just to stay and visit family. Verry happy with my stay, may use this exact hotel again. The staff was nice the whole time. Never had any disturbance of any kind. The room was extremely moist. I had to empty the dehumidifier roughly 4 times. It was a jakoozy room also. That may have been why

The location was good given Vinton, Iowa’s remote rural setting. The mattress in our room had been smashed by hundreds, perhaps thousands, of prior guests, leaving deep indentations where people had slept or sat. It clearly needed replacement. The bathroom plumbing leaked, especially around the toilet—water splashed onto the floor with every flush. Breakfast was awful: cold scrambled eggs, greasy sausages, and mostly stale English muffins. The Seattle Best-brand paper coffee cups leaked, so we tried three or four cups each morning before finding one that didn’t leak. After two such disappointing breakfasts, we went to McDonald’s on the street for our third morning—night and day difference!

Breakfast was mediocre—not terrible but nothing outstanding. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location suited my needs.
