The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were polite and discreet. The location is almost in the center of Portoaria. The mattress is for people with stiff necks 🙂

The location. We booked the room with a fireplace and from the moment we entered it smelled strongly of ash. When we lit the fire it didn’t smell as much (maybe we got used to it), but in the morning after the fire had gone out we couldn’t breathe because of the odor. There is no good ventilation and it smelled unpleasant, even though the room was generally clean.

Nothing we liked. Advice: Don’t be fooled by the photos! If you want to waste your money, go! Because we booked through Booking and didn’t reserve by phone, we paid in cash, and they didn’t let us sleep outside. They told us that customers who book in cash get better rooms. The lady who runs it is like the evil witch from the snowy version of Gracia. In the first room they gave us, we simply didn’t fit… the bed and the walls of the room were a step apart. In the second one we asked to change, and she asked us to give her 40 euros in cash. Heating was minimal. The first day we just suffered. The air conditioner only blew cold air. The room was generally shabby; I’ll put photos. Inside the accommodation was like a skeleton. I can only upload 4 photos unfortunately. I would put more to show the full dilapidation. As I said, if you want to waste your money, it’s a good option.

Good location in the middle of Portoaria. The room had heating. We didn’t choose breakfast because of other comments we read. The owner, a very old lady, was unsuitable for such a job. Her behavior and body language were very unprofessional, not welcoming, and we felt unwanted. The wood for the fireplace isn’t free and costs 8 euros for 8 pieces (it had 2 small pieces and 6 very thin ones), so we didn’t use the fireplace even though it was one of the main reasons we booked this room. 1 euro per wood piece isn’t justified.
