The staff were very nice, practical, and helpful; we could charge our devices for free, and the breakfast was extremely extraordinary. Since we were traveling with a dog, an air conditioner would have been nice, but we were in the off‑season and it wasn’t a problem.

The location right on the lake is beautiful, the staff were professional, friendly, and extremely helpful – I couldn’t fault them. It was easy to reach by train and public transport to nearby attractions, making it the perfect long‑weekend spot that I would absolutely recommend. The hotel was full, so there was overflow into the dining room which lacked a bit of atmosphere. The menu could have been more varied, especially at lunchtime when you might not want a heavy meal, but the food quality was excellent.

Receptionist Frau Camenzind welcomed us warmly, recommended a restaurant because the tables at Waldstätterhof were full, and always accommodated our wishes.

The modernization of the rooms was modest. The showers were in a bathtub.
