The facilities were nice, yet the room was noisy and the bed was awful; when your partner turned, you felt the whole bed shift.

The location is stunning and the property is huge, feeling a bit like a maze inside, truly a conference‑type hotel; still, the weekend breakfast was very crowded. There’s plenty to do if you want it—pool, sauna, tennis, squash—but we didn’t use any of it. We paid €220 for one night with breakfast and early check‑in, which feels steep for a hotel like this. The gardens and the main building’s façade are beautiful, yet the 1990s addition is awful and the rooms and interior are very basic.
