The rooms were clean and the staff helpful, yet the lighting in the room and toilet was sparse; a tabletop over the washbasin and extra light would improve things, earning me an 8.0/10.

The staff were friendly and helpful; when I fell ill, fellow travelers and the staff (traveling friends) assisted me with fruits, vegetables, and food, and I stayed until 4 Oct, so I gave it a 10.0/10.

I love this place! The location is amazing, the staff are kind and helpful, the hostel is spacious with plenty of room and common area, lockers are provided, and the bedding feels like a fancy hostel—comfortable under the duvet, and towels are new and clean. A water dispenser, soups, tea, and coffee are sold at reception, showers are large and clean, toilets are spotless with extra paper, and the noise level is low; earplugs are offered. Laundry is available for a fee, and there’s a fridge to use. I enjoyed the hostel and Ipoh and would return, though the beds are a bit noisy when sitting, so I gave it a 10.0/10.

The location was good, but I wished there were hair dryers, the bed felt hard, and credit cards were not accepted, giving me an 8.0/10.
