The room was clean and tidy, and the pub had a nice atmosphere, but because there was no chef, no food was available.
“Disappointing”
The room had plenty of space and a good layout, but the TV only worked from the remote if you pointed it at the screen from less than 10 cm away; a drone of an extractor fan from the neighboring room buzzed all night and the green light above the door kept me awake, and parking was a struggle because of a lack of spaces.
There was enough silence for sleeping, it was dog‑friendly, and it was the best of the guest houses we stayed at; it was fairly priced, though the old aspect was noticeable.

We wanted to check in early for a nearby wedding; Jennie arranged it for our two booked rooms and that was much appreciated, yet the green light above the door closer was too bright and lit the bedroom all night—could that be adjusted?
It was centrally located for my needs, close to supermarkets and shopping centres, the staff were very hospitable, the room was clean, and it offered good value for money; I didn’t dislike anything about the property, but it would have been better if the restaurant were open—an evening meal and breakfast would have been appreciated, as they were looking for a new chef.
