What a wonderful find in Cefalu! Beautiful panoramic views of the sea and the city, and just a short stroll to dining, shopping and historic areas. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with various traditional Sicilian meats, cheeses, fruits and pastries. I especially liked the espresso machine! In the evening, there was a piano bar featuring the exceptional talent of Maestro Marco. I was truly impressed with his vast repertoire of timeless standards, classical pieces and more contemporary hits. We had such a fun sing‑along every evening, and I miss his quiet charm. Although there was a bit of a language barrier, our translation apps helped us understand each other and become friends. The rest of the staff was helpful and friendly, which made us feel right at home for our week‑long stay. The infinity pool area and bar were wonderful and had a fabulous view, but the water was a bit too cold for my comfort! Still, it was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a drink and watch the sunset.

The layout and appearance were good. The room wasn’t completely clean—there was sand on the floor, and the bathroom tap sprayed in all directions. The breakfast was the worst on our trip. The coffee machine made terrible coffee, and that was in Italy!

“Ganas de repetir”

My husband and I loved the Sunset Hotel. It felt comfortable, pleasant, and very close to the beach and about 10 minutes from the beautiful historic centre of Cefalu. We also requested a room with a private pool, which my husband adored, as did the large one on the roof that offers fantastic views of the sea, Cefalu, and wonderful sunsets. Additionally, we booked an extra spa session for two and really enjoyed it; I especially liked the warmer spa pool. Breakfast was fine, with plenty of variety. The best part was the staff—very kind and attentive. Nina, for example, was very proactive and wrote to us before arrival in our language, Spanish, to attend to our needs, and then in person, communication with her was also in Spanish and very smooth. We understood each other perfectly. Besides Nina, Berta, who also speaks Spanish, and Carmen, the spa manager, also took good care of us. We also enjoyed meeting Marco, the pianist who sometimes plays at the roof pool or on the ground floor. Thanks to these people, we left with an even more beautiful memory of Cefalu.

The location, multiple decks, and an infinity pool let us enjoy the beautiful scenery, beach access, and a delicious breakfast.

“A Lovejy stay away from the noise of the main town with the best views.”

The spot was great, the rooftop bar and sea view were hits, and the staff were generally friendly. Noise insulation worked well, so sleep was solid. The rooms felt a bit worn out; towel hooks were loose, the shower drain cover was loose, and there was barely room to unpack—only six hangers and no drawers. The rooms are small, but we knew that when we booked and chose location over size, so no big complaints.
