The spot was gorgeous, the restaurant was excellent and the staff very friendly, the suite was spacious with a king‑size XL bed, and the buffet breakfast was decent. The drive to get there was a real ordeal, with a rough dirt stretch; once you arrive you’re left with only nature because the nearest village is far away and the idea of driving that road again at night is weak. The suite costs over €300 a night, but the bathroom windows were broken, and when you pull up the mosquito nets the dead insects fell out. A huge spider lived right above our door. The in‑room jacuzzi had so much chlorine it burned my eyes. The TV wasn’t smart, just standard channels. The breakfast set in the room was sparse and incomplete – no coffee, only tea, and to use the kettle you had to detach the fridge bar; the bar fridge was practically empty, with only two water bottles and a prosecco, and we were told we couldn’t drink alcohol – after mentioning it, we were told that was the freebie. It would have been fine to pay for it, but we expected at least a non‑alcoholic drink in the room. The breakfast had plenty of homemade pastries, but no fresh juices or smoothies.
