The reception shuts down at 5pm, so when we arrived there was nobody there. The room was filthy, with papers, bottles, and a lot of rubbish under the beds, and it also had a horrible smell. On top of that, the shower water was completely cold.

I can’t even remember if breakfast was included, but the front‑room I got was a nightmare – people were shouting in the hallway at all hours, arguments broke out late at night, and the facilities looked pretty worn down.

The place is right in the city centre, a short walk to Woolies, and the front desk staff and cleaners were genuinely friendly. Unfortunately, I ran into drug‑using guests, the staff forgot to drop my late‑check‑in instructions and keys in the mailbox despite my prior notice, so I ended up looking for a place to crash at 10 pm, and the overall vibe felt unsafe with dishes left dirty by other guests.
