The beds were super comfy and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach and many restaurants were within walking distance, which was great. A hostel right across the street made it easy to meet new people, so overall the package was solid.

Our private room was lovely, with no complaints: a comfortable bed, a good shower, and working air‑con. Outside the room, a small bench and hammock provided a perfect spot to relax. Across the street, Beach Jungle offered free water refills, coffee, and tea.

Everything else was fine. The room I booked was behind an abandoned bar counter, not on the property but directly on the street. Even before arriving, I received the rules via WhatsApp—from “smoking near windows” (which would normally make any terrace smoking illegal) to air‑con settings. I was also asked to send my passport over WhatsApp, a clear privacy breach. When I pointed out the discrepancies at check‑in, the staff were overwhelmed and seemed sorry. They offered a conversation over WhatsApp to sort it out, yet I never took up the stay. I had been in Lonely Beach for three months, even in the immediate neighbourhood, and no discussion ever happened; the money for the whole booking is gone. I suspect it was deliberately set up so that free cancellation isn’t possible. In the village itself, I was told I was right, and apparently there were several similar cases. I can only advise against it; there are plenty of other options that are stress‑free and honest.

The calm, the tranquility, the contact with nature, and the proximity to shops were all appreciated, so we rented a scooter. The scooter rental was in front of the mini‑market; we took it for a day and told them it wasn’t full. We had to keep it until 4 p.m. the next day, but we returned it at 11 a.m. They demanded an extra 200 bahts for fuel, which we didn’t use. They held our passport and wouldn’t return it until we paid the 200 bahts. We strongly advise against going to these thieves, especially given how much they overcharge.
