“Wunderschön”
I loved the location and the great setup, and the food was good with plenty of different tour options. The menu didn’t offer many vegetarian choices, tap water had a slight odor, a 20‑minute taxi ride from Tena cost $10, and the pool and jacuzzi water felt a bit cold.
It was eco‑friendly, but the pools were not clean.
We cut our stay a day early because we were so disappointed by how everything unfolded. I was hoping to finally relax on vacation, but instead I faced frustration after frustration—staff, accommodations, offered experiences, and everything I thought I could enjoy when I first booked. I don’t even want to list all the details, but I can say I was incredibly disappointed and I wish I had stayed elsewhere.
“Gorgeous rainforest retreat”
The staff were fabulous, and the place sits right on the Napo river, just a 10‑minute taxi from the nearest town, giving a true wildlife vibe. Edison, Nico, and the young lady at breakfast were all amazing, helpful, engaging, friendly, and spoke excellent English. The shower water had a sulfur smell, but that’s expected from the river source.
