The location is great—just a few minutes' walk to Twizel's shopping and dining centre. The place was very comfortable, warm, and reasonably spacious, and although I didn't need to interact with the hosts, I'm sure they're lovely. Everything was good.

No breakfast was offered, but the location was central. There were no kitchen facilities, so we couldn't prepare our own breakfast.

The TV was unusable, so that was a downside.

The room and bathroom were spotless, and the air conditioning and electric blanket worked well. We walked to a Thai restaurant for dinner after long hikes at Mt Cook, Tasman Glacier and Hooker Valley, all within walking distance. The owner was very friendly and helped us change the TV remote battery. Drinks, cookies and chocolates were also provided, which we enjoyed. We did get confused about where to check‑in, but the owner found us and showed us the room number; a quick message beforehand would have clarified the check‑in and check‑out procedures.
