“Evocative and very comfortable”
It’s a lovely, evocative historic landmark that’s been tastefully turned into a hotel, situated right next to Central Park. You can picture the original Persian Consul and his entourage unwinding here, taking the waters, and strolling through the park. The rooms are understated yet comfortable, with wide verandahs where you can sit, sip a drink, and reflect on a different era. Breakfast was varied and tasty, highlighted by Persian mirror‑work on the ceiling. The spa facilities, though small, are a nice treat in this historic spa town, though they could use a bit of maintenance.
