“Visit back to childhood town”
The spot right on the river is gorgeous, with great views and easy access to miles of towpath walks that lead to Hampton Court, Molesey, Weybridge, and the town centre—all within walking distance. Inside or outside, there’s plenty of seating no matter the weather, and the free secure parking is a bonus. Dining with friends was a treat; the menu had a solid selection and the food itself was excellent, plus the full English breakfast was a decent size. The pub’s character adds to its charm. The room could use an upgrade, but it was comfortable for a single night and featured a four‑poster bed. We only used it to sleep after a long day, so it didn’t bother us, though the TV offered only one working channel, which could be better.
