The rooms were great. Nothing else.

The place is well situated, but security is lacking and there was always a group of men (staff?) in the front room. The door to the women‑only room had no lock.

The hosts were incredibly friendly, giving the hostel the best vibe I've ever experienced in Japan. They hosted an open‑mic night in their bar on the night I stayed, and everyone was so welcoming and fun! It felt genuinely authentic and inclusive :) Great for meeting people and having a good time. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you want quiet or privacy, because it's basically a bar with a dorm room, so the main areas were a bit crowded and people were smoking.
