The Cordelia, a Victorian guest house in Scarborough, sits quietly near the South Cliff and just under a mile from the railway station and town centre. Steps from the Spa Complex, beach, Stephen Joseph Theatre and shops, it offers en‑suite rooms with TVs, tea/coffee, a guest lounge, complimentary on‑street parking passes and a full English breakfast each morning.

I had to climb 40 stairs to reach room 7, which isn’t ideal if you have COPD, and parking was also a hassle.
