The stay was charming and old‑style, with a 3‑bedroom suite that was nicely updated. The building looks like it could date back to the 60s or 70s, and the updates bring back that nostalgia, reminding me of cross‑country trips in the late 1970s. The beds were very comfortable for my wife and me, with good sheets. We didn’t use the pool because the nights were colder at the end of summer, so the water was chilly; if it had been steamy and hot, we would have used it. We don’t have a dog, but the place is dog‑friendly, with a separate dog park up the hill where your dog can run free in a large enclosure. The rooms were clean, but some items show age (over 50 years). It’s hard to balance keeping a place financially viable with spending a fortune on rebuilding everything, but they seem to have a good balance. We would definitely stay again, especially the big 3‑bedroom, 2‑bathroom suite for a family group; a normal room would have sufficed for just my wife and me. This isn’t a brand‑new resort, but it has the charm of 60s/70s motels, and we loved the overall experience.

Celebrating my birthday here with family felt like staying at a high‑end Airbnb, even though it’s technically a motel. She thought of every detail: a gift shop, board games, well‑kept grounds, and a small library where kids could pick a book to keep. Unexpected complimentary ice cream and sherbet added a fun touch. As a dog owner, I was amazed by the pet‑friendly setup: dog bowls, treats, sofa covers, and an info card with 24‑hour emergency vet details. The on‑site dog park made traveling with a large dog stress‑free. The pool area was a highlight, with nice furniture, clean towels, pool noodles, and floating tubs, plus nearby BBQ grills and a cozy fire pit for evenings. The Double Queen Suite was practical: a sofa bed allowed six people to sleep comfortably, a snack basket and a fridge stocked with reasonably priced drinks were available. I traveled with my daughter, her two kids, a friend, and her two teens; both families were very happy. I’m glad I chose this place for my birthday and would highly recommend it; I’ll definitely return. The only downside is that it’s a small, solo‑run property with a cozy, personal vibe rather than a big‑box resort, but that actually made our stay special.
