The hotel is located right in the city center, and we had a large, quiet room. The room could use a renovation.

I liked the location right in the heart of Schagen, but the noise was a problem – even though we knew a company party was happening, we were assigned a room directly above it and could hear the ruckus until almost midnight.

The bar/restaurant next to the hotel was cozy and the beds were great, but when we checked into suite 031 at the adjacent Slot Hotel, a strong sewer smell wafted in from the bathroom; we opened the windows, yet the air in the bath stayed stale, which was a shame because the rest of the room looked nice.

The hotel’s spot was spot‑on, right in the middle of town, yet parking nearby was a bit of a hassle if you brought your own car.
